Oscar Nominations
Oscar nominations were released today. I have only seen one of the best picture nominees. (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) And since the entire internet has brought up how similar it is to Forrest Gump, I’ll spare you that. But I will say this: No one uses an over-the-top accent and no one performs an unholy act with Sally Field. Which puts Gump in select company. The only other thing to come close was her deleted sex scene with Mrs. Doubtfire.
And forgive me, but where’s my nomination for Marley and Me? Have you people no soul? See, there’s this guy and he has a dog and man, is it a handful. I mean the hi-jinx they get into…I digress.
Also, wait about 2 hours before Spike Lee raises a fuss over Miracle at St. Anna. Cause I’m sure he thinks it’s the best movie ever created by a mortal. The rest of us that saw it think that it was a giant turd covered in dog hair. At least Omar from The Wire was in it for a grand total of 5 minutes.
