Lobsterfest as an Economic Indicator
You know the economy is bad when Red Lobster and Olive Garden are raising menu prices. Hate to break it to you guys, but if the lower middle class has less money, you’re not getting more money by raising prices. They may have to just take their business down to Long John Silvers or cover their Easy Mac in Ragu sauce. Next Olive Garden is going to tell me that their “neverending breadsticks” actually end at 9:00 pm. How in God’s holy name am I supposed to sop up all the week old milk alfredo sauce if my breadsticks end? You tell me! First $4.00 a gallon for gas and now $7.00 for all you can eat crab legs? Good day to you Olive Garden and Red Lobster. I said good day!
