Return to Lawrence
I thoroughly enjoyed my triumphant return to Lawrence. We beat whatever cupcake we were playing and managed to keep the goal posts up after a victory for the first time in 3 years. That’s progress baby!
I was also very impressed with our ability get super-secret, Hawk wristbands courtesy of Whitney via Fox 4 and Delta Upsilon superstar John Holt. The wristband holds the super power of making you forget that you’re at the Hawk. I did feel pretty cool, though. Whether or not the 18 year-old girls around me thought I was cool is up for debate. “Hey ladies, check out my CostCo membership card!”
Wrap your mind around this: When I started at KU, the freshman class that is now there was 11 years old. Most college seniors have herpes sores older than that. And I thought I was past the days of waking up on strange couches….nope, apparently I was not. At least I knew how I got there this year.
