Glad I waited
Probably good that I didn’t panic and write a post about the Big 12 mess last Friday when I was FURIOUS.  Plus the “I’m a Jayhawk” remix can be redacted now.  (Except for the Buffs and Huskers part). So it looks like for now that the Big 12 will live for another day.  Dan Beebe was able to convince Texas that the Brinks truck will continue to run from the offices in Dallas...

I'm a Jayhawk Remix

Sorry
Ok.  I’ve been absent a lot lately.  I’ve actually been working a lot and being a little apathetic with my blog.  My sincerest apologies to the three of you that read it.  I promise more in the coming weeks as summer sinks in. Till then, Ryan

This is why I HATE FOX News.  Calling yourself a news organization is like me calling myself an astronaut because I climbed a tree in my back yard.

2 Things
I apologize for neglecting the blog.  Work has been hectic lately.  So here are 2 random observances. 1.  I was driving behind a lady today that had 3 bumper stickers on her car about her golden retriever.  One of which was “My Golden Retriever is Smarter than Your Honor Roll Student.”  Now, I believe if we use “Likelihood Subject Be Found Drinking Out of Toilet” and...

Ryan's Favorite Stoners (Cough cough)
Yeah, I know Top 10 lists are passe.  But Pete and I were watching Pineapple Express again last weekend and started discussing the best stoners in movies.  The only criteria be that they are potheads and not just drug users.  Which narrows down the field a bit.  (This removes Fred Savage’s hilarious cameo in Rules of Attraction.) 1.  Slater from Dazed and Confused. 2.  The Dude ...

Classic Ryan Blog 3
Originally posted in Aug, 2006.  God I can’t even remember the smalls bits of college my diminished brain cells could hold on to anymore. I don’t know why I thought of this, but just go with it.  No one makes you read this. I couldn’t sleep last night and somewhere in between wondering which former star of “Friends” has the smallest bank account right now...

Classic Ryan Blog 2
Today is a 2 for 1 sale.  And yes, I realize how highly I think of myself when I refer to old blogs as “classic.”  But I think many of you underestimate my literary prowess.  Why, just last week a local high school English teacher added “Signs of Fall in KC” by yours truly to the summer reading list.  Its social impact lies somewhere between The Great Gatsby and a Bazooka...

Classic Ryan Blog
Ok, I’m cleaning out my old MySpace blog so I can finally close that account.  Since the integration of CAPTCHA to thwart porn stars, I haven’t received a friend request in some time.  And I don’t know the last time I used it for anything other than checking in on David Cook’s lastest album.  So I’m going to try and post an old blog every day or so until they’re...

Zack in St. Louise Tonight
KC’s lone All Star, Zack Greinke, won’t get the start tonight.  (Instead, the very worthy Roy Halladay will throw for the AL).  But he should be the 2nd or 3rd pitcher for the American League.  After years of Mark Redmans and Ken Harveys, I’m pretty stoked to see a LEGITIMATE All Star from KC.  Cities like New York and LA always dog the “one player from every team”...
